M.Ed. in Literacy & M.Ed. in Special Ed Virtual Info Session

Monday, January 27, 2025 at 4:00 PM until 5:00 PMEastern Standard Time UTC -05:00

Prospective students often compare the Master of Education in Literacy and the Master of Education in Special Education with Dyslexia Credential. Learn about both programs at this virtual information session!

In a career as a literacy specialist, you will learn the skills to develop critical thinking through literacy initiatives. Whether you are interested in literacy program development, intervention, or assessment, the PC Graduate Literacy Program will open up many exciting career opportunities for you as a PK-12 teacher. Graduates of this program are eligible for an additional certification through the Rhode Island Department of Education, and fulfill the proficiency requirements for the amended Right to Read legislation.

Consider a career in special education, where you will be equipped to help your students with unique challenges and reading or language disabilities. While coursework in Special Education will provide foundational knowledge and skill development, you will also achieve a Level I Certification as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner through Wilson Language Training.

You will also receive an automatic application fee waiver - worth $65 - for attending this event. See you there!

If you are a person with a disability and require an assistive device, service, or other accommodation to participate in this program please contact the Central Reservations Coordinator (401.865.2070; M-F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) well in advance of this program.
